Stories Alive 10 am and 2pm
A five week course of stories, movement, drama, music and art.
Suitable for three to five year olds. Cost $50.
Places for Thinking 3pm
A five week course in creative thinking and philosophy for children five to seven years.
Cost $50
Drama – rama 4pm
A five week course in process based drama for five to seven year olds. Cost $50.

Storytelling Workshop for Adults
We come to understand ourselves and the world we live in through story. Come and explore, find and tell your story – be you a parent, educator, grandparent or accountant. Every one has a story or two… Workshop facilitator Tanya Batt. Cost $100

When Sex is the Story?
What are our stories around sexuality and how to they affect our children. An informative and important evening for parents of children 0-8 yrs Cost $20

BATTY PUPPETS
Come along and make you own bat stick puppet and create a flappy puppet performance.
Tuesday 30th September 10am & 11.15am
FROG PUPPETS PRESCHOOL SESSION
A special puppet-making and performing session for early childhood.
A caregiver must attend.
Wednesday 1st October 10 – 12pm
SHADOW PUPPETS
Experience the magic of shadow puppetry. Make you own puppets and learn to manipulate them for performance.
Thursday 2nd October 10 – 12pm
DRAGON PUPPETS
Make you own fabulous dragon rod puppet and bring it to life!
Friday 3rd October 10 - 12pm
SOCK PUPPETS (workshop)
Let your smelly socks talk and walk! Make and perform with your own sock puppet.

JACK & THE BEANSTALK

Programme of Events – April School Holidays
Sweeten your Easter with Stories
The Story Centre, Artworks is offering an exciting programme of events this Easter Holidays.
From the 6th – 13th April the Story Centre will be open from 12noon – 4.00pm
Come up and share a story using puppets and storytelling resources from around the world or book into a storytelling session or workshop.
All workshops are limited to 15 people.
Saturday 14th April
2pm Sly Fox Tales – Fox Stories from around the world. (All ages) Cost: $5
Sunday 15th April
11am Sunday of Stories. Come for a pot of story surprises (All ages) Cost: $5
Monday 16th April
11am – 2pm The Necklace of Raindrops
Come and listen to this fabulous fairytale and stay onto create the beaded necklace of your dreams.
Cost $20.00. (Ages: 7 years +) Limited to 15 places.
Tuesday 17th April
11am & 2pm The Happy Man’s Shirt
What does the shirt of the happiest man in the world look like? Hear the story and create your own design.
Cost $10. (Ages: 5 years +)
Wednesday 18th April
11am & 2pm The Minotaur’s Maze
Do you dare to enter the Minotaur’s Maze? Be brave and book your place? A story drama.
Cost $10 (Ages: 7 years +)
Thursday 19th April
11am & 2pm The Musical Story
Come and help create and tell a story using musical instruments. The story will be shared at the end of the session.
Cost $10.00 (Ages: 5 years +)
6 – 8pm Tell me a Story Dad in conjunction with the Hey Dads Network.
A special evening of stories and supper for dad, granddads, uncles, brothers and their children.
Bring a plate for a shred supper at 6pm. Stories start at 7pm.
Cost $5 per person (all ages)
Friday 20th April
11am & 2pm Dance Upon a Time
Come and dance your favorite stories. A special session for younger children and their caregivers.
Cost: $10 (Ages: 3-5 years )
