School Holiday Programme at the Story Centre

Spring into Autumn and celebrate both the season and the history of this months traditions. Faeries, May Queens, Green Men and May Pole dancing – join us for a host of stories that explore and celebrate the topsy turvy world we live in. Bookings essential.

Wednesday 30th April 10.30am ‘Faery Strange’ Cost $10

(Workshop Ages 5 years +)

Today is our seasonal Halloween and marks the time when the veil between our world and those of the unseen worlds is at its thinnest. Come and explore the stories and traditions of the old faery folk – who knows maybe you’ll be lucky enough to see the Faery Queen,

Thursday 1st May 10.30am Green Men and May Queens. Cost $10

(Workshop Ages 5 years +)

Come and join us in celebrating the traditions of May Day. Make a green man mask, or May Queen crown and dance the may pole.

Friday 2nd May 9.30am & 11am Growing, growing…gone. Cost $10

(Workshop 3 – 5 years)

A special seasonal storytelling and integrated arts workshop for preschoolers.

Saturday 3rd May 2pm Seasonal Stories Cost $10

(Workshop Ages 5 years )

Come and listen to stories that explore the traditions and customs surrounding Autumn and make your own seasonal decorations.

Sunday 4th May NO SEKKU TANGU Japanese Boys Day/Childrens Day

(All ages) Cost $20 per family $5 per person

Come and listen to stories from Japan and learn about the traditions associated with the traditions of Boy’s Day and National Children’s Day in Japan.
